1) Alcoholism and how it can affect families - My friends mom is an alcoholic and I've learned through all of his stories the effects on the family that come from it. There's one story that involves his mom and him getting into a fight outside of a bar when he went out searching for her.
2) Getting arrested at the SMU football game - A couple of buddies and I were in the student section at the game, wearing purple in a sea of red. That one turned out with beer cans being hurled at us and the entire student section chanting words at us.
3) Sister dying of breast cancer in high school - All of the pain that comes from the first family and/or friend death that one experiences in their life.
4) Experiencing the Rose Bowl victory - Going to LA with all of my friends and getting to go to the game and experience something that most kids won't be able to while attending any school.
What do y'all think?
I think #2 would be great. It sounds action-packed and it could be really intense. The summary itself is pretty vivid so I think it would be fun to read a story that's entirely in a jam-packed football stadium, especially with the climax of getting arrested. #3 sounds intense but would be a excellent story I think. I think a lot of interesting aspects could drawn on that subject and a lot of questions could be raised as well. Both of those are great ideas and it would be cool to see one of those turn into a story.

I like the first one the best, but I'm also a sucker for having deeper meaning in writing (not that it can't be accomplished in your other options).
